As far as Seans 1050 goes, If you asked him what he thought of his bike he was generally fully of praise of it, the problems he experienced seem to be particular to his bike and not common place across the model

My 955i was an absolute joy to own and ride with absolutely no reliability or build quality problems and in the triumph forums the story is much the same both the 955 and 1050 are supremely reliable units, not to mention being silky smooth and very powerful, in the 12000 miles that I did on it, given the funds I'd buy another tommorow

Re: bmw 1200 gs adventure

Guy as work has a 1200 GS.. quite light.. about the same weight as my XLV and a lower seat and does not carry its weight as high.. three side stands a bonus though... very temped.. as it is a low milage clean one.... it's in cotton wool 'til April so may have another sniff.. but £7k for an 05 bike may think about a new 800.... better bike for me as I dont need the two up grunt.. then again will most likely talk myself out of it as solo riding cant beat a 600alp and the XLV fun-factor and if I had a new toy I would neglect the other two ,as I am neglecting the A10 the B25 , the DR600 and the T500 may be just flog the lot and get one bike

( wifes suggestion so its got to be wrong )
