    BMW Warranty and assistance

Yea Yea. I know I said might and I still mean it but it doesn't stop me taking a keen interest.

I've been scanning ebay and came across this one 2007 BMW R 1200 GS ADVENTURE SILVER on eBay (end time 06-Mar-10 07:41:28 GMT)

What caught my eye was the line
I pay £33 per month to keep the BMW Warranty & assistance but i am not sure if it's transferrable. If so, well worth keeping up!

Is it really £33 per month for the extended warranty which I assume includes recovery?
    That's a whopping £396 a year.

yep that is true but absolutly everything is covered and yes as far as i remember it includes European recovery. Parts and labour are all covered and they do not argue.Just drop it of at the dealer, sorted

I bought my GSA from a dealer and took out extended bmw warranty package for piece of mind and get the servicing done at Bmw their prices are very competitive cheaper than Honda dealers.

That's about the right price for a warranty. The only thing is they insist the servicing is done at a dealers not an independant. Yes it transfers with the bike. Covers UK and mainland Europe.

    Re: BMW Warranty and assistance

Just took out a warranty with with motor warranty direct for my 07 1200GS. after a bit of easy negotiating got full 12 months cover for £220....used them before for my car, they have never quibbled over any claim i made so pretty reliable...and cheaper than the extended BMW warranty, been informed the customer is liable for first £100 of EACH bmw claim so beware!
