BMW R1200GS Mk2 Aux Fuel Tank

I have completed a project to design, build and install an 11+ litre auxiliary fuel tank to my GS. All the information is on my web site "The Engineering Emporium" Home and look under Articles. I hope to be at The Grand National in Rosedale but will probably arrive mid-day Saturday.

on the TLD I chatted to Martin Reynolds, he had fitted two self made tanks under the exhausts of his Varadero.
Using a bypass and the stock fuel pump he pumped fuel from the main tank into the aux tanks, when full the bypass valve was closed and the fuel stored till required, when needed it could be pumped back into the main tank.

Aux Tank Upgrade

I now have completed a pumped fuel transfer system which replaces the manual fuel transfer. It is more efficient and transfers 10 litres in about 7 minutes. Please see web site for details.
