Well, it's all academic now, bike is sold . Finally got through to John at Williams Motorcycles this lunchtime (had tried yesterday lunchtime but couldn't get through). Bike was sold yesterday afternoon. Anyway, had a long chat with John, and he's promised to let me know if they get another lowered one in. He did say that it is rare. Turns out it wasn't an ex-demo - ebay listing was incorrect.

Still, somebody out there will have a big grin on their face, so I guess I should be happy for them

lulu go and try one with a lowered seat . i think you will be pleasantly suprised , and it cost nothing go into the dealers and have a sitski on a few bikes keep looking one will come up

the wire wheel conversion is real easy , F800 GS rear wheel and the F650 single front wheels are a straight swop , even with the abs rings

Do a Google search on "lowering the BMW F650gs" and tons of info pops up.

It would be a lot easier to find a standard height bike and lower it then to find an Factory lowered one.

My only advice for BMW owners and potential owners is to give Rainbow BMW Motorcycles in Rotherham a call (Ian Or Oliver).

I have always found that the funny thing about missing out on what you thought was your dream bike is the moment after when you realise the bike you finally get was better than the one you nearly got!!Stick in there Lulu, your day will come!!

Thanks for all the advice and heads-up folks. Sorry I've not responded, but I've been mad busy lately. Hoping to get back into the groove a bit now. Still regretting not getting that one, but also still loving Nessie, so shouldn't complain .
