Ok, a few to get us started ;-)

Woooo, my own special corner on the site

Here's my 'sh*t kit', left in place for the winter, keeps salt & crap from all the inaccessible places around the engine - fine for ambient temps up to 15 to 18 deg C.

Ok, here's a home made sump protector, made from stiff alloy sheet, won't take serious offroading but will prevent the engine from taking a battering from light tracks.
The alloy is shaped to contour the inside of the original sump guard, giving some protection to the front of the engine too.

Storage compartment made from fairly thin alloy sheet, fits snugly where that catylist used to live. Houses a few tools, puncture repair kit & an electric pump.

Sidestand 'puck', made from a bit of stainless sheet, attached by a m6 round headed bolt. Parking on soft ground is no longer a problem

Brake lever with sprung end, the original brake pedal can suffer badly even in a light drop - to the point of where it is unusable!
The solution is to chop off the stock welded on piece & weld on a bracket from a sprung pedal from an offroad bike.

Next up is a custom sat-nav mount. Sorry it's a poor pic.
It houses my PDA & sat reciever & allows use of the touch sensitive screen, while remaining water resistant, it's lockable too meaning it's safe to leave on the bike while paying for petrol etc.
Deliberately doesn't look too 'bling' either so it doesn't advertise anythinhg.

The sat nav mount can bee seen to the left of this next pic.

Also, a simple lever protector, keeps the original hand protectors, this lump of alloy just stiffens them a bit & hopefully protect the levers in the event of a light 'off'.

Hydraulic preload adjuster grafted onto a stock 650 Transalp shock absorber.

Last & by no means least is my fave
A high capacity Scottoiler reservoir for free, courtesy of a 'squeezy' Hp sauce bottle. Gives a range of about 5000miles. Can be filled with a jug, oil pot or whatever comes to hand.

Thats all for now folks. Enjoy

Phil

The remote shock adjuster looks the business, any more details?

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

I must say I always enjoy seeing and reading about other peopls ingenuity with their bikes! ALways makes me think they have thought it through as a result of really using their bikes, and not just polishing it and fitting a colour coded something-or-other:

Nice bits of creativity there, 'shandydrinker, and really tidy looking!!

I like...
