    get you homes.

    Broken throttle cable?
Turn the tickover up to about 2,500-3000 rpm and ride gently home using clutch and gears.

    Broken clutch cable?
If you zip tie a spare alongside the existing one and get a broken cable, all you have to do is swap the ends over rather than fight re-routing the new one. Trust me, I have used this and it was only 5-10 minutes and I was back on the road.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

You can even make a throttle cable work as a clutch cable if that is the only spare you have. Just ask Weebro

i know a guy who only ever uses bicycle brake cables as cables on his harley, none have ever broke on him and they are loads cheaper.

wont catch me doing it though, got some pride, ive got a honda, not a tractor.

could be worth adding to the library of bodge knowledge though?
