OH man brill , so that' where my old bike went . Excellent Bandit !! she's a fine machine.

I generally have a cycle round Arran at least once a year - from the smaller but much superior island of Cumbrae - over to Largs - cycle to Ardrossan - then over to your place, round and home - about 98miles in a day for me , but broken - up with the tea and bacon butties on the ferry in the morning and a couple of 'Arran Blondes' on the return trip.

Sorry I took so long to respond to this , I was on holiday in Tenerife - aye another bloody island !! and did manage to resist a remote log-on !!.

Hope the Alp continues to provide sterling service.

Absolutely !! I'll let you know when I next plan to cycle round. I may even be over with the KTM sometime this year.

Many thaks for the inspiration, goaded me into making one for the rear of my Tiger, I was getting a bit fed up with all the sh... being thrown into the lock on my topbox.

I do however have one complaint about your method, I had to have a bit of a lie down after eating all the cornflakes so I could use the packet for a template!

But Andy , this is all part of the bodgers process - we do all our planning lying down or slouching on the setee with a cuppa and several digestive biscuits ..... and after weeks (sometimes months) of planning we spring into action and the shed comes to life with hammering and drilling and skinned knuckles.

You should see the wee bracket I bodged yesterday to put a LED rear light on my Brompton folding bicycle ...... phoar !!! And Brompton wanted £40 + for the made to measure job .......... £9.99 for the LED outta Halfords and a couple of hours in bodge mode ....... reeeezult !!

It all makes sense now! I have just been up to the shop and purchased 3 packs of digestive biscuits. Once I have eaten them all perhaps I will have a bodgers brainwave........................or stomach ache.

I've managed to do the first bit - eat everything, I just don't seem to be able to get around to the second part - making anything!

    Re: Homemade Fenda-Extenda

Hi, Before I start bodging one myself, please can someone confirm whether there are (or aren't) any after-market mudflaps (or fenda-extendas) for a Honda XL650 Transalp 2007. From threads I've read it appears that there might not be but I'd like to know for sure.

I've got to ship my bike to the US on 15th April, so if I have to make one I don't have much time left. However, if there are any products out there perhaps I could buy one in the US.

    Thanks,
    Ollie
