Talking Cheap'ish ally top box from £35

Been bodging again and decided to get a ally top box.

Found this transport case on e-bay and thought i'd give it a go :

Its only .8mm thick ally, so i knew i would have to re-inforce it a bit. The bits i added as follows:

2 pieces of 6mm thick marine ply to inside of base and lid to add strength.
Set of luggage loops on top of lid - stainless steel bought from a boat shop for a few quid.
Lingerie/smalls washing bag andf converted/fitted as storage bag under lid £2.99
    2 long shackle padlocks
Craft foam to pad out the insides of the box about 50p a sheet A4
Home made bracket to fit the box to my givi plate - sadly its not quick release, but its not quick to fall off or be stolen either
Few stickers here and there, and a couple of extra rivets to add strength.
It already has clasps fitted - just need locks and comes with a rubber seal, so im pretty happy with it

    Very neat.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

I went to a local boat shop and found some 'eye straps'.

Similar sort of thing on e-bay (must be cheaper than touratech )
