think i would go up in flames if used any of her boozze!![]()
according to primus
450g liquid gas. Energy content is the equivalent of about 1 ltr of methylated spirits, sooo
450g primus gas cartridge (350g of fuel content i think)....................£5
I've a Coleman screw on gas burner, had it for about 10yrs now, never let me down, well apart from in France when I couldn't get a screw on gas canister!
So, I bought an adapter which screws on to my Coleman and converts it to take clip on camping gaz canisters!
So now it takes both clip on or screw on cans I can always find gas. Admittedly gas is scarce in outer Mongolia but I've no plans to go there in the near future! But I think I'd just take extra gas with me if I did!
I've watched petrol burners in action and find them terrifying!
yep Vaude do an adaptor but they keep that fact quiet!
The pierce to use gas cans are to be phased out so i am told on safety grounds, the screw on type is a wierd thread (beleive it or not its 7/16" UNEF) but it is common to the screw on gas cartridges that come with some of the more common diy blow torches...
My new omnifuel turned up today so i will be playing with as many different fuels as i can find over next few weeks.
Trying it with unleaded pump fuel its a bit of a monster compared with the coleman... sounds like a jet engine at full whellie
If you want seriously dodgy fuel in an omnifuel!
Hmmyeah, the old optimus hunter was a rather uncivilised beast...
Mine drowns out 747s doing a 90 degree turn overhead 10 miles away from Schiphol.![]()
