    Waterproof rear storage box

Finally manged to get some time playing in the workshop over the weekend, and have been planning on making a rear mumberplate storage box for ages...thanks to my scottoiler giving me more hassle than ever..

The box needed to be secure, waterproof and easy to acess - also needs to double up to hold a bike to bike radio in...

So - having aquired a sample of carbon fibre/fibregalss mix that is used for facias on buildings - i hacked away.. this stuff is pretty hard - cuttting with a hacksaw was almost impossible, so the trusty angle grinder came out...

aluminium angle was used to join and strengthen the joints - and then pop rivited - once finished i covered the whole lot in a nice thick layer of enamel black..

i used some rubber roofing membrane to make a gasket that is glued aound the lip at ther front -and then the numberplate is screwed on as the lid...
