    video camera mount

get the brake lever mount with 2 balls from RAM, cut one of them off. (dont get the one with the screwed on ball, the thread is wrong! and it costs more.)
drill and tap this ball 1/4"UNC, the standard camera mount size.
bond into it a 1" length of 1/4"UNC stud, (or a screw, then cut off the head.)
make a lock nut out of WHY.
its done! this screws into the bottom of the camera, locks off to stop it vibrating free, and you clean up the other half of the RAM bit and bolt it on the mirror clamp.
the wrist strap goes over the mirror to give a security failsafe, use the RAM arm from your existing GPS mount and off you go.

i only did it for a laugh but it actually works very well taking vibe free good quality videos. you could mount it behind the screen but mine is smoked, so i wouldnt see much! and wind noise gets a bit much +50mph, but take a tip from the TV boys and fix a little bit of foam over the mic.

    Looks good.
shouldn't it be mounted on the left though,
then you can use it on the move, just dont tell the wee feller or he'll tell me off for suggesting it

you can, you set this little casio up in video mode and leave it to go into standby, then you only have to touch the top button to set it off or pause it. likewise the zoom on a little rocker. ive tried it on the move with gloves on and its fine, to be honest the zoom should be left panned out anyway, to get as much scenery as possible.

i had to mount it on the right anyway, realistically. dont know if you know varaderos but the left hand switch/lever/mirror bracketry is completely different to the right.(also, the wrist strap on my camera is on the right)

There is a ram camera mount. Much easier.

I fi you buy the longer arm (about 7 inches I think) you get a lot of flexibility over where to position your camera too.
