And after you've done all that you discover that Touratech actually worked out cheaper.

Method 2 - find suitable boxes - make hangers - bolt in place. - ride away.

Some people have way too much time.
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

The author's an academic. You get extra brownie boints for making simple stuff seem complicated. Double points if the text is liberally sprinkled with mathematical formulae. If you break it down step-by-step it's pretty trivial stuff.

There's no proof or attempt at evaluation, so it doesn't even work as a pseudo-academic paper. (Well obviously, duh!) However, for someone who wanted to waste time in office hours he probably had a bit of fun (and gained some experience of using LaTeX too).

    Re: make own Panniers

A lot as it would probably leak as i was filling it (not my craftsmanship but the sealant you see) .

Going to have to try tomorrow now.

Not on the bike at the mo as the pic was taken about a year ago and they are sat in the garage in the same state. Going to finish them in the next couple of weeks, looking to make my own rack work, got the metalsmith to make the hoops, just got to position them and get them welded. will be done for the national me hopes.
