Givi Box/Plate - Fitted to Transalp

I had a Givi Flow box which Givi (in their infinite wisdom ) told me would not fit on the rack of my transalp and they didn't do a universal plate to fit the transalp rack - well don't believe a word of it. I just took off the bars from the rack for my old TDR, and the Givi plate fits perfectly on the Honda rack, couple of bolts (the ones that came off the Givi) and Bob's your uncle! Might put on an extra bracket (just for piece of mind) but its as sturdy as it was on the TDR. So the moral of the story is, don't believe everything you're told by a manufacturer and give it a go first!

Bizarre. Countless TAs have Givi boxes fitted to the Givi-to-TA rack adaptor plate; and the TA 650 "Honda standard luggage" included a Givi top box with a Honda logo on it, obviously Honda Japan couldn't be bothered to manufacture luggage for a bike assembled in Europe!

So obvioulsy Givi do a plate for the TA... practically any luggage seller could tell you this, how on earth could it be that the company making the luggage couldn't tell you the same?

For those wanting to shoehorn Kappa or Givi top boxes onto Hondas, note that they fit onto identical mountings, so a Givi box fits a Kappa rack and a Kappa box fits a Givi rack. Great if you buy a secondhand bike with a plate already fitted or you are mixing and matching parts off hee-hee-hee-bay
