If the camelbak sits underneath the tank bag then are you only using the tank bag to hold the camelbak in place ?
    Yes that's right
the main compartment is left empty and I can put my helmet in that

I must admit my tank bag is one of the best things I have parted with money for
pockets at the front take two bottles with no fear of them falling out on the road
    rear pocket has sunglasses
two side pockets and an expandable main compartment and now the Camelbak sits underneath I cant get the full three Litres in but well over one with no risk of it falling off.
Just want to sew some straps under the tank bag to hold it in place for refuelling
Is your tank bag in the shape of an old Police phone box and do you constantly attract new female companions on your travels?

    That sounds enormous

    That's distasteful

first off Bud Light normal stuff is pishwater

secondly it would served too warm

now if she was sat in front facing you to keep your goggles clean and free of dust I'd rent one and keep her in my tankbag

When attaching my mag tank bag, I put a small sheet in between the bag and the tank painted surface; the sheet is cut out from the silicone rubber "netting" that you put under a woollen rug if you put it on a varnished/polished wooden floor (to stop it sliding). Buy it for pennies from carpet shops or IKEA or anywhere that sells rugs.

The same stuff is also sold in woodworking suppliers to put under wooden furniture (or subassemblies) to stop it sliding along the workbench as you are making it, I got a sheet about 10" x 8" free with a woodworking magazine once. It was called a "router mat". I expect hardware shops sell it.

This stuff stops heavily laden tank bags sliding, and if they do slide, it stops scuffing of the paint.

    yup do that too

I use a camel back, but have the bladder in the bum pocket of my belstaf patrol jacket. it rests on the seat so no weight on my back I route the drinking tube through the belt loops and the top zip rough but it works
