Removable Indicators write up!
Thought I would write a better post about these indicators. Firstly the actual indicators were brought of ebay, only cheap ones but they should do the job.
Think the threads on them are 8mm, this happens to be just the right size to fit the cable tie in the plug. This means its really simple to fit and no gluing or anything is needed then just wire them in. ![]() The female parts of the plugs I had to chisel out the plastic to fit, this was easier than drilling and cutting. Then they were just bolted in, I also found that a bicycle inner tube fits perfectly onto the back of them, as the terminals are exposed to all the muck flicked up from the tyre this covers them and should be pretty water tight too. So there is about 6cm of inner tube cable tied to each one. And that’s about it really, they say simple is best! It should be very easy to fit if you already have indicators, took me bit longer as i didnt and had to wire up the whole circuit, but it all seems to be working fine at the moment! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It cost me £8 for both sets of plugs and £4 for the actual indicators, so not too expensive either! |
