    GPS Sunshield

    Finally got enthused to sort out the glare on my Givi GPS case...

    This is the case. It's a good little set-up, but 'cos of the mounting point on the bars, reading it in bright sunshine is a bugger...

    Rear view;

    Wasn't sure what material to use, then had a brainwave in the supermarket

    A bit of old cardboard as a template( the missus saw the packet and thought I'd bought some ice cream and stuffed it secretly)

    You need to form creases in the plastic in order to get it to fit properly...easily done with a lighter applied gently!! to the fold area;

    Without the creases, the whole thing tries to unfold itself all the time...

    Tuck the flaps in behind the mounting bracket and the job's a good 'un

    I thought about fixing it all together with a bolt through the back, but then realised I need to get to the on/off switch, which is on the top right of the Tom Tom...So it needs to be dismantle-able...

    Great, and like the added weather proofing, always a bonus, great bodge. I did something similar (but even more basic) for my road angel, till after a bit of laning noticed it wasn't with me anymore
