I really can't thank you all enough for your generosity, especially in the difficult economic times we're having at the moment.

Despite the titanium inside, i don't yet have a metal ass, so Paul I think you may be right with your comment on JustGiving.

Big Thanx to Kymmy too, for making the post.

I'll be lurking here in the forums from now, cursing at you all as head off aboard your trusty steed's while I wait for the stagecoach.

Take care folks and thanks again

If ever there's a meet up or ride out in your area you'd be more than welcome to ride with some of the people on here including me if you are allowed to

I think a long lunchbreak may be de rigueur tomorrow. They do really good pasties at the railway station too.

    Hi Folks,

Well I got back home on time after a wonderful 2 days, seeing some of the great British countryside, and marvelling at the spectacular morning in Scotland, the scenery and weather was amazing, so armed with only 2 hours sleep I hung out the window most of the way getting pictures.

Great NRAS Rail Race - a set on Flickr

Met some wonderful people on route including Sunnybrook, and she's right, those pasty's are fantastic (and in Edinburgh too!!)

I'd like to thank you all for your very kind donations, my original target of £250 has been doubled and is now over £500.

It's really given me the urge to do more travelling, especially in Scotland.. hmm think I might plan another trip....

Big thanx to you all, and sorry the blog didn't go as planned, due to technical difficulties, but twitter seemed to hold out via sms.

    Jo.

Hi folks, sorry to bump this back up, but I'd just like to thank the members of the forum who have donated since I completed my fundraiser

Sorry I've not been able to contribute as much to this forum as I'd like, but I've been having neighbour problems for a while and trying to get the useless expletives from the council to sort it out is proving most challenging and physically end emotionally draining.

right now I'd love to climb aboard a bike and head off somewhere even with this awful weather, as a good blast through some country lanes sure is good for you

Anyway thanks again, and a BIG thank you to you all.

    Jo.

Difficult neighbours are a speciality of mine. I tried to PM you but your account seems not to allow it. Let me know if you want me to write to the council to get them moving...

Not sure about the PM thing, I've looked in the User CP but couldn't see any reference to PM's

It's been ongoing for almost 6 months, the guy from the council anti social behaviour team (who we'll call Mr. Ashtrayonamotorbike) has been largely useless. I don't think he's taken it seriously at all. However it's funny how active he's been since i got my local councillor and MP involved last week, as well as letters from my rheumatologist that the stress of it all is aggravating my RA. His latest suggestion was mediation.. the same thing he offered in July, but nothing happened, as they had "a backlog"

When he called yesterday and told me that he'd put in the latest request for this 10 days ago "but it didn't register on the system" and he had to re enter it and was I still happy do do this I told him quite firmly NO, it's gone on long enough.. he sounded shocked and stunned at this, like he'd just woken up to the fact it's been going on so long.

Just need to make a new appointment with the local police officer dealing with the issue and then get her on his back too.

Thanks for your kind offer PDSquire, it seems the more folks you have battering their door down the better, as taking it via the proper method seems to have no positive effects. Any info/help greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Jo.
