Thats the weekend for Team XRV's Run for the Sun Charity ride for Help 4 Heroes, looks like there is going to be a lot of bikes out that weekend, raising money for good causes

i would love to do it but for the bit that says it must start and finish at squires cafe.
i dont understand why they need to, there are checkpoints around the routes that must be done in order so what difference does it make where you start? the route goes just past my house in southampton, but i cant start there. so i would have to get to leeds, ride 1000mi including straight past my home again halfway round, up to leeds again and then back home.
so thats not 1000mi, but more than 1500. thats 10 tankfuls of gas, maybe more, plus two nights camping. im all for the RBL and help for heroes etc but thats a big ask in my current financial situation.
its a shame cos id love an IBA badge, 480mi is the furthest ive been but we didnt start till 1400, so i reckon i could do it

Davsato you could come and stop in sunny Rotherham before and after if you need to rest up. I guess part of the reason for squires is the publicity. go on join the Iron butt you know you want to
