    What to Pack

Maybe this shouldn't be posted here but I wanted to know what essentials I'll need for my first road trip on my AT.

A friend and I are planning a road trip to the east cost of spain and need to start planning.

Light bulbs (plus screwdriver to get to them ), a bit of chain-lube, a chain repair link plus appropriate pliers for emergencies, tools to adust the chain-tension, spare plug and plug-socket, one of those handy mini-cans of WD40 and perhaps a can of tyre sealant and a small pump for punctures. Clean underwear is pleasant too Don't carry oil or coolant with you, in the unlikely event you need a top-up you can find suitable stuff at any petrol station (even in Spain ).
Some may tell you to carry a spare fuel pump and reg-rec too but I would either replace before you leave when I know they are on their way out, or otherwise not bother.

I would say carry whatever you carry to ride around your area on a Sunday plus chain lube. Itīll be as easy to find a shop/garage with anything you might need as in England.

Well... you can't take everything that you want...
but you surely can everything that you need

But everything depends on a route you ride...

    My musthaves are:

    maglite (or any other light)
    ducktape
    knife
    chain lube
    strong thin nylon rope
    few pieces of wire
    few cableshoes
    some bolts and nuts
some plastic fasteners (electical... for cabels.. u know.. )
    penlike manometer
    additional elastics (for luggage)
4m belt with tightener (if you travel with ferry)
    some tools

If you have original fuelpump, take a peace of 10mm/ inches pipe for bypass (lenght ~5cm/2inches) and 2 "embraces"-> is this the word?

Just done my first trip abroad (solo to Valencia), seem's daunting before hand, do basic planning and fully prep the bike.

No need to go overboard with spares, basic "bodging" tools etc.

    Main thing; SUNCREAM

    Enjoy

    May I add:

    Small firstaid kit
Adjustable spanner ( one fits all )
    Electrical tape
Cornflower ( mix 1 teaspoon in a glass of water ) for the 'runs'.
