Temted by the Dark GS side then DaveMyself will also rather give the KTM a go just for something different. Nothing wrong with the GS just want to stand out in a crowd when the local BMW boys park up

Borrow Chad's AT then, that new paint job really stands out!
Not really, can't afford it at the moment, but always like to see what the opposition is like.Originally Posted by Maverick

Than take a good care of the production year. Early models had a looooooot of problems. Some bolts break like wooden sticks, than there was some cluch basket problems... Not realy expected from such an expensive bikeOriginally Posted by dam13n

The KTM sounds good. I tried out a 1200 GS the other day for 4 hours and i wasn't that impresed. It is very very quick and the one i had had a Laser can on it so it sounded brill but i found it very uncomfortable as i was sliding forward on the seat into the tank. I found you also felt the bumps more and a higher speeds my Powerbronze screen offered better protection. I was told after that you can adjust the seat though so that shoudn't be ok. To be honest i couldn't justify an extra £5000+ ontop of selling the @ to get something i can't work on myself and isn't nearly as economical as the @. really all it has done is made me decide to save for a new can, so i think it will have to be a Remus with a removable baffle.
