Dirty Weekend

Slightly odd question perhaps, but I have a couple of mates who think they want to get into bikes and touring and getting dirty. I've been trying to find somewhere where they could go for a weekend and get a bit of instruction on some dirtbikes and spend a couple of days blatting about in fields/on lanes. There's a couple of places I've found on t'internet, but nothing that seems reasonable to me (being Scottish and all), anyone know of such a place anywhere?

There are a lot of companys doing trail riding weekends but most require your own bike. Trail Bike Magazine have a ads section where they are listed.
