so hands up anyone that can wheelie their machine (i cant as i have never had the ability to balance, even on 2 feet )

i know wheelies can be done on any bike (depending on the skill of the rider)but im just wondering how one-wheelable is the @

I always said that wheelying my old RD04 was nigh on impossible. My mate asked if he could have a go and promptly did it 3 times in a row. I went right off him!!!!

I did an unintentional but quite controlled wheelie on my current RD07 in Morocco when travelling at about 50mph on a dirt track. It was one of those caused by opening the throttle as the front wheel hit a bump in the track. The sort that goes up and drops down very softly and make you feel all manly. That was the only time though.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

I can feel a visit to the wheelie school coming on

Have wheelied my old 350 Suzuki ( 2 stoke twin )... but that was the problem with that bike!! bandit yup ...dirt & trail bikes too, but never been an efficianardo.... cant help the "ohh +uck hope this turns out well... " so not comfy with it .

I have a nephew who can wheelie anything.. trails riders.. don't you just hate em

I think the're cool in the right place.. but too many sports riders , make prats of the biking fraternity doing them.... and I alway feel that a bad one affects chain & fork life.... like all things it's timing....., right time and right place .. cool..

Thought the one's on the long way round by Charlie Boring made him look like a right prat.... huge support team load of planning... then an irresposible piece of horse play for the camera on a fully loaded adventure bike that you want to perform well and ' look after you'

but bottom line is the we should all know how to recover one, as it part of bike control, so you should know how to, and when to, and what to do it it suddenly gets vertical!! school any one????

I don't know the 1st or for that matter the 2nd thing of how to wheelie but always tempted to try it out. If I find someone who will show me it's on my list to do What could possibly go wrong

Wouldn't risk it on my @

My old bike, a very tatty Suzuki DR750 BIG, was easy to pop the front end, just open the throttle and up it went. It was more diffucult keeping the front end down infact.. (it had some serious lightening mods andf engine tweaks done by the previous owner..)
