I'm booked in on the Yamaha school at their Sussex site in a couple of weeks. I got the last place on that day, and they do seem to get booked up quite a long way ahead.

I'll let you know after I've done it, but I reckon that £150 for a full day's instruction including bike hire is very reasonable!
Well, I did it on Friday and had a great laugh. Only binned it once!

The day is really a Motorcross taster, with just enough instruction to get you round the track. It's very well run, but felt to me more like a "jolly" than serious training which I found a bit frustrating. I certainly learned stuff, but there was no feedback from the instructors and no debrief.

If you just want a great fun day out, then it's brilliant, and you can find all the details here: www.yamaha-schools.co.uk . If you want to learn about riding a bike off-road in the real world, then somewhere else may be better.

I've decided that I like sliding around enough to go and do the 2 day BMW course before too long, as it seems to be much more practical and suited to keeping a 200kg pig upright in the mud!
