    News Just In...

In an "altercation" between a black ( the fastest colour! ) AT and a ( black, the stupidest colour, IMHO! ) Ford Escort on the North Circular this afternoon the AT came off better. I've a 10pence sized dent in my crash bar (SS Motad!), he needs a new wing, a door skin and a drivers mirror.

Except for the mirror, of course, he patently never uses them and it's redundant!! I was lucky, nothing was coming the other way when he pushed me into the opposite lane.

So, boys and girls look out for them, they're out to get us! Oh, and crash bars work. Really!

    Cheers
    -Simon

I did actually manage to write off a Seat once, and the only thing that was wrong with the bike was a bit more paint!
p.s The Givi wingrack also helped by gouging about a 20cm gash in the rear panel.

Patrick, he reckoned I "wuzz in 'is blind spot"! Yeah right, he's got a terrific gouge that starts in the middle of the drivers door and finishes where the bonnet finishes! I must have been right alonside him when he pulled out. And a guy on a scooter stopped and shouted " I saw ALL of that, and it was your fault (pointing at the driver)"!!

Chad, breath and count to ten, try to think of kittens and bunnies and sunshine I was very calm, it didn't help that they were two bald, 17 stone, tattooed scaffolders. And I'm half your size!

Cheers, Chronyx. More importantly my bikes fine, too!

Those bars aren't just for decoration, let's get out and use them!

Did anyone else go to Brands Hatch on Sunday? There was some great racing but it was really really really wet, especially on the way home. The only patch where the rain stopped was the Dartford Tunnel.

    Cheers

Did you ride? Respect! I'm in full on pansy mode until I sell the car and have to ride whatever the weather is doing...

What, do yo mean you don't enjoy the wet rides? Call yerself and adventure biker

Besides, that wasn't riding, I was washing my bike and my jacket and exploring the waterproof limits of my boots (not much, BTW)!

Seriously, I'd not been out on my bike for nearly four weeks and I was getting a bit desperate to ride. I'm glad I did 'cos I'm still really impressed with these bikes, I had no trouble starting her after nearly a month idle and the two of us dealt with the pouring rain and howling gales extreeeeeemly well.

A great motorbike, really, but we all know that already

    Cheers

Yep I'd agree with that! They tend to open up car pannels like can opener!

Glad you came away unscathed! People say the daftest things when they know they are in the wrong! I think anger is the first response to fear/adrenaline! Which is why most leap out of their car and have a go after they have just hit YOU!
