So I was reading about this new krautenpanzer and initially I was thinking - nice one; a motor that puts out about 80bhp and a decent wallop of torque, shouldn't cost the earth to run and should be well built. But then I noticed that this 'tourer' only has a 16L tank! Why? Just seems a bit nuts to me.

All the same, anyone else interest in seeing what the same engine in a GS style bike will look like? Apparently they're planning it....

I've read people reporting around 60mpg, depending on speed etc, so that would give a range of around 210 miles to empty.

And yes, I'll be looking at the GS version when it arrives.

The half faired version reminds me of the TRX everytime I see it

Can't help but think that BMW had more than this application in mind when the motor was developed, fills a big gap in the range don't ya think.
