ooof - over before it began, the euro trip comes to an end

Stoo and I headed off last week for a european adventure - only to be sideswiped on the first day. Just about in one piece, but the bike took a hit. Owe my left leg to the aluminium boxes kindly provided by Mr Cave - and the crash bars stopped the worst of the weight of the bike, just - could have been higherin all honesty as they didnt do a jot to save the fairing (although not much would have).

Anyone had an experience similar in Spain? Have no idea what the insurance process is as never needed to claim before - especially abroad

Spain is a nightmare for insurance claims. Mine took five years before I got a penny and that was even after the driver had been convicted and lost his appeal. Mine was for bodily injury though, so I hope that just motorcylce damage will be faster.

Bummer! Glad you're OK-ish.. Nothing will really compensate for the lost holiday though.

If you´re ok and the bike´s fixeable, I guess the real bummer is the holidays, wasted holidays are depressing

    Good luck with the insurance

That looks a nasty injury. Get well soon. Money can't compensate for the trauma and sheer time you'll invest in sorting this all out.
