Are you referring to something like Green Leopard ? I believe they are very expensive but worth every penny. Haven't had £50 - £100 to spend on earplugs recently so can only go on what I have heard.
Mine cost about £50 several years ago. They fit more consistently than foam plugs, i.e. they always work whereas I found foam one didn't always sit properly (and I wouldn't find out until I was on the motorway).
Financially they've probably paid for themselves and are still going strong. In terms of noise protection, mine aren't quite as good as foam plugs, but if you're prepared to pay more you can choose quieter ones.

Personally I'm trying to figure out the best way to use communication ear phones with plugs. Ideally I'd want speaker plugs so I can hear the phone/GPS/intercom but no wind noise.

Guys, if youre going to spend that sort of money, get your self a pair of shure ec3 headphones, with 3.5mm jack plug. they are the dogs anatomy for sound if your listening to ipod or nav etc but better still they have electronic sound surpression meaning you can hear next to nothing outside. including her in doors![]()

RWB rd07, remus can, dynojet and K&N filter, givi racks, givi hard cases, oxford soft luggage, tourance tires, 12v power socket, oxford heated grips, centre stand, touring scottoiler, very bright headlights.oh yes and a tank cover and bag.
And you've probably heard quite a lot as a result.Haven't had £50 - £100 to spend on earplugs recently so can only go on what I have heard

only 6 o'clock, to much wine already....
I got a pair of custom made ear plugs at the Dublin Bike show last March, very happy with them - could never get on with the foam types. Still can hear the Autocom with MP3 player, but cuts out all that horrible wind noise. They cost about £60 also had a version with in-built speakers, but at £150 they were well out of my range. I did see the Shure ones that Phoenix has which seemed good too......
What's taxing me about speaker ear plugs is how they'll plug into a microphone-and-earphone system such as Autocom or whatever. The mic is in the helmet, but the ear plugs are in my ears. So when I take the helmet off what happens to the leads?
I can see speaker plugs would be alright for music or sat nav alone.

That kinda put me off too..... now got the Autocom system well set-up. After some initial disappointment I'm now very happy with the system..... another lead to get tangled up with different ear phones put me off that idea.....Originally Posted by Dee Duble Yuh
