    National rally

Off on the national rally this weekend, anyone else doing it? If you are, what award are you going for?

I'm trying for the special gold 540 miles in 20 hours, easy peasy

If anyone is doing it, shall we try to meet up at Solihull? Could maybe swap mobile numbers off main forum or something. Anywho, best of luck if your doing the run.

    Yes, I'll be doing it.

I was going to go for the special gold again but decided on a gold route that enables me to pop in and see my Mum up in York on Saturday evening!

I don't plan on hanging around at the finish for long as I'm off on holiday on Monday and have lots to do at home.

Organised by ACU (think) in aid of mencap. Its a navagational scatter rally which expects you to find your way to the National motorcycle museum, Solihull from anywhere in the UK, via a series of check points. You have to do so many miles, so many checkpoints, have so long a rests etc etc Get it all done and you win the award you entered for beit bronze, silver, gold or special gold.

Afraid you've missed it for this year as applications had to be in by May, but maybe next year

    Cheers Maverick

No GPS for me, I'll be doing it the ol' fashioned way. Maps, directions and asking a local when I get lost
