    Ridgeway Restricted Byway

Well bad news folks. I was up on the Ridgeway at the weekend on the KDX and the post NERC signs are now up meaning you can ride it in Wiltshire, not ride it in Oxfordshire and ride it again in Berkshire????? This is the perfect test case for the TRF me thinks but alas the judge will be an arsehole who probably owns one the mansions near the Ridgeway in Oxfordshire......The only glimmer of light was that we explored lots of little byways and found some nice lanes I've never done before. Strange that for 20 years Wiltshire have done the right thing with rights of way and reclassified many RUPPS as Byways or Bridleways and yet Oxfordshire who have done f**kall in reclassification sit back and now get what they deem a huge bonus. Did'nt take em long to put up the signs. Get writing to your Welsh MP's quick. Their RUPPS are up to go in November.

I think those signs might be a bit premature. I gather there is some sort of procedure to go through before placing the RB signs and some authorities have placed the signs without following it.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

Thanks Jenna for that depressing bit of info!

    Bastards

I did the Ridgeway, 2up on an XT600 last year from somewhere in Oxford to Avebury and the stones. Had a great laff. Fell off once, got pissed on and ultimately harmed no one.

TRF have fought many cases and been good but they're taking on the government. Mototcycling is so fragmented they can get away with it. What it really needs is the TRF, BMF,MAG and ACU to get together to stop this ****. Along with the manufactures, as ultimatley they'll get hit on this as why by a KDX if you cant use it. They could hire some great legal people to win this.

But the ACU will say, not motosport, so wont get involved ( but they've closed Matcham park)
MAG will say we dont go off road ( until they ban your noisy Harley)
BMF will say the same (until they stop youi ttoling on the roads in the Peak district)

So like I've said do it whilst you can and if you can get away it illegaly, do it awsell as the Deomcratic process sucks
