Anyone got a good Bike Lawyer ? Notts/Derby/South Yorks

Life ! What's the bloody point ? For the first time in my 39 years I had bought a nice bike only to have some **** in a car pull out on me ... I'd both headlights on, wearing a high viz jacket, doing the speed limit... GRRRR ... I'd shout if it didn't hurt me ribs.

Not seen the bike yet but have heard it's front is done in ...

Anyone got a good bike friendly lawyer around Derby/Notts/South Yorkshire ??

    Grumble grumble bloody cars...

Are you OK? That's the main thing.

Sorry to hear about your accident, are you ok?

Don't know of any lawyers up that neck of the woods unfortunately.

Motorcycle News, check out the services page in the middle somewhere.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/34,000 miles ridden (of 57,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

Give Towns Needhams or Irwin mitchells a ring m8. Both will have awesome solictors / barristers. My union The united road transport union use them when we have problems, so I guess they know a bit about accidents and roads etc.

Sorry to hear of your incident mate, hope you're healing quickly?

I was travelling to work yesterday on a bright orange Tiger with both headlights on and a hillbilly in a 4X4 pulled straight out on me on a single track road, slid past the front of him sideways narrowly missing the front corner. 30 yards @ 60mph, no way I was stopping in time, less than a second away from possible carnage. No time to even manouvre.

Feckin hillbilly probably just shook his head and mumbled "bloody bikes"! I didn't stop, one dead hillbilly = jail!

I hope you get well soon mate, hopefully the bike will sort, if no it's always a reason for a new toy!

Take care out there folks, even the safest riders are at risk.

Sorry guys, should have said that I'm ok, 2 ribs possibly broken (xrays don't show ribs apparantly !) and a scuffed elbow with stiches (despite leather etc)... aching but still up and about but I've been given morphine so I shouldn't complain

I went over the bonnet and did a little twirl before crunch landing ... like I say it could have been a lot lot worse ...

Thanks for the tips and well wishes

I've just had a mate call and he's passed me this guy, Phillip Shuker, he's a biker and knows the score, very helpful on getting claims for helmets, injuries, lost pay etc ...

    Phillip works for:

and this is his advice site:

    Hope you never need him

Sorry to hear your news matey

If your a member (or associated member) I suggest you contact the BMF. They have specialist solicitors, infact it might be worth a call even if your not.

    Been there done that.
    Get well soon.

It's not what anyone likes to hear after an off, but the MAIN thing is that you are OK ('ish)

    The bike can be repaired.

    Get well soon.
