    Motorcycles in bus lanes

Access for 'bikes, to a very limited number of bus lanes, has been trialled in Hull for about five years or so.

The trial has recently finished, and the result is...

'bikes are now authorised to use all bus lanes in Hull

It hasn't made any difference to my journey times (I work there) cos I used the bus lanes anyway but it's nice to know that in these days of intolerance that not all bureaucrats are anti-bike.

Best is the one on the M4 approaching London when the rest of the traffic is almost at a standstill.

We've had that privilege in Bristol for a number of years now. I have to think twice when I enter other cities as I tend to forget that it's not the norm !!

Yep as McVicar and Bob said in Bristol here we've had them for ages and its PITA when you go somewhere and you can't do this.
Bristol are very forward thinking in this point of view.

London is testing the water still...Some you can use others you can't...It's a bit of a nightmare if you're not sure but I'm sure they'll open them all up soon!
    I'm going on a trip!

I moved from Belfast (where you can, or at least could, use some bus lanes) to Bedford (where you can't). Not being able to use them is, as stated previously, a major, major PITA.

Also, why are taxis allowed to use them and not us???
