Hello from Canada!

Hi there,
I've been monitoring this site for a while, and have found it quite useful.
I figured it was time to join and say hello, I am in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
If that sounds familiar, it may be because Ewan & Charley were both hit here in LWR!
Plus, we also hosted the '88 Winter Olympics, and have the Calgary Stampede every summer.
I have an '87 Transalp (it is the only year it was bought into Canada), an '80ish XT500 ice racer, a 2001 DR650SE (the wife's), a '94 XR650L, plus some streetbikes.
I'm not sure if you got the XR650L in the UK, it is basically the NX650 engine, put into the XR600 chassis, with street equipment added.
I am a big fan of the Africa Twin, even though they were never imported to Canada.
Anyway, it's going to be about -30 Celcius for the next few nights, so I'm sure that I will be on the computer a bit more.

I saw an article once about some guys in Norway (I think it was Norway) that had put spiked tyres onto a GSXR1000 an R1 and various other Jap Sports bikes and were racing them on this mega iceed up lake
