Taz from personal experience I know the Cage Vs Motorcyclist fight generally end up with rider in Hospital and driver free to go on his merry little way.

Fighting them if they get out of the car might be equal, but arguing with a couple of tons of metal (or 7.5 in my case) will result in a nice little hospital visit if your lucky or your parents attending a funeral if you're not!

That's what I was saying. The car was blocking his way in a queue of traffic, hence neither the car nor the bike were moving. Once blocked, I'd get off the bike and confront the creep.

Funny thing is coming back from Scandinavia we had to filter on a Dutch motorway, we were blocked twice and everybody else moved over. You've guessed it the blockers had UK number plates. They also learned the hard way that in a traffick jam you're a captive audience and two GS's with aluminium panniers can be very, very wide.

Oh we've got our local assholes as well, don't worry it's not just brits.

The difference between doing this on a weekday or in the weekend is shocking though. Weekday, pretty much everyone moves over or leaves space in the first place, except for the occasional plonker. Weekend is weaver time, nobody's looking where they're going and "coloring between the lines" is apparently not mastered yet...

I just don't get why certain types of venkers aspire to drive certain type of venker's cars ?? What is it about BMWs that makes those sorta people want them ??

A few months back I was in a VW dealer in Ayr (looking at a second hand Passat) , but in the showoom was a brand new POLO GTI - it looked bloody good on the outside - bright red , nice alloys , wee spoilers here and there. When I opened the door - SHOCK BLOODY HORROR !!! it had wait for it ....... fake Burberry check !! on the seat cushions and backs !! a red fake burberry check !!! I mean VW designed it like that not some aftermarket bit of kack.

Its obvious who VW are targeting with that - and I have visions of every wee ned in Glasgow - cutting his gear with scouring powder and doubling his prices , to save up for a VW POLO GTI .....with Burberry seats.
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

I wonder if a Beemer car driver would do that to a Beemer bike rider?

Had a couple of similar run ins lately - more agressive than usual on the driver front. I think it has to do with the time of year - long dark evenings , add a bit of rain and hey presto ! huge tailbacks. Its why I'm on a bike now, and I think that certain drivers get more pent up than normal because of it.
Had a **** in a beemer pull right out in front of me the other day , and when I pulled up alongside ranting he shouted at me to shut up. Guess how annoyed he looked when I continued giving him a bollicking at the top of my voice while he could't move - he went purple - I was pissing myself laughing at the end though :P

What happens if you boot a car as you go past slowly - will you end up on your arse? - Too scared to try
