    I sure hope so...

If not then at least we might see them at the Zwarte Cross in july.

lol yep all 3 trucks are back this year with Gerard De Rooy and Jan De Rooy and Hugo Duisters in lead driver seats, after last years muck up they have been kicked well down the running order behind Hans Bekx (the enemy)

    De Rooy 01:

    the Bekx beasties...

Behind the scenes Ginaf have really worked hard to get the DAF out this year, last count 11 wagons in the race/support lists.
    http://www.ginafrallypower.nl/upload...a/promo-br.wmv

sadly due to a low take up and even worse numbers allocation there are very few Brits on the course in trucks with only John Walker -Mark Hawkins - Chris Hunt in the new team Bowlerspirt Man 6 wheeler! :this ikkle baby was not allowed out to play......

full T5 (truck) entry is here:

Rubberchicken has the exact dates for Zwarte Cross been posted yet???

For those that dont know about it, it's a bit like a 'red bull' hill climb ( awww they were fantasic ) mixed with a cup of glastonbury, a bowl of Bulldog Bash and a a healty sprinkling of top MX action.... totally nuts but also a great excuse for a few days riding abroad!

As always, the last weekend of july: 27, 28 and 29 july.

    And yeah. It's utterly bonkers.

This gives an indication... (Yeah that's Elvis)

    The riders get thirsty too...

    And then, this happens...

And that's just the "regular" motocross.

There's also usually a moped class full of chicken chasers, last year they had a streetbike class (no harleys allowed due to tight scheduling) which had among others a CBR600 howling through the sand, and then there's the special class, where anything goes. Anything.

There's often a demonstration class with the Paris Dakar guys (picture above) which to some is a cruise, but to some others it's a full-on race, Hans Bekx was maniacal, overtaking the cars and even some of the bikes.

Then there's the bands (they've apparently confirmed Status Quo for this year), the circus, the barrelracers and all that stuff... And 50.000+ people going out of their minds with things somehow staying friendly and not becoming a war-zone.

(This amazes me: Last year they had six people who were turned over to the plod. Six! In a crowd that size... )

Oh and for those planning to make a weekend out of it, here's another tip:

Catch the Zwarte Cross on sunday, and the classic races on the saturday before, in Barneveld. (Should be a topic full of pics on here about those, already.)

Cheap entertainment, too. Zwarte Cross last year was 12.50 euro, Barneveld is a fiver or so.

Mind you you have to book the Zwarte Cross tickets in advance.
