    Factory Paris - Dakar Riders

Just finished watching the Race To Dakar with Charlie Boorman very good DVD highly reccomended.

What struck me was just how fast the factory guys are, breed apart one stage they set off at 7.30 in the morning Cyril Despres on the factory KTM finishes at 5.15 at night. Simon Pavey and Matt who are obviously very good riders arrive at 4.30 in the morning !!!!!

Bloody hell those factory boys are quick, shockingly so. They are hard on the gas all the time, no backing off, total concentration

    RESPECT

Mr Pavey, Sir!, raced at my most recent rally. Obviously, I never saw him ride, but he was finished I think before we started the second lap! Very fast stage times, on an HP2!

Makes the factory riders totally inhuman!!

I just got the Sky - gizmo - dish - thingy- and box (that looks like a video recorder but isn't) installed in August this year. mainly because the old analogue signal kept cutting out in our rural area.

Can someone tell me if the Dakar is on the regular sports channels like "Eurosport" or is it on one of the special sports channels that you have to buy separately with the "sports package".
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

Plain old Eurosport every night at 10pm and repeated next morning usually.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

Can you watch it on the net? 2010 on no bikes bigger that 450cc seems they are lighter and a greater advantage to riders on em.

I know but you never know when your going to wake a giant. We should get the current Irish and English raiders mentioned here and follow em in Jan 2010 what you think?
