I'm a bit scared. Everyones' fences are disappearing, a bit of mine is broken, my bike trailer is holding another up and I'm too skinny to go out in the big blasts in case I take off. Glad today is my working from home day, even if my computer has shut down on me 3 times when the power cuts off.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

It's blowing a hooly out there!

In theory, the wind should die when it gets dark, so hang on if you can

Hope your right Cie. 7pm I should be in my 18 tonne very square box driving down the M5/M4. I think if I just hold on to the wheel a bit tighter and close my eyes I should be fine.

I have been out in some woods today - a f@ck off big branch at the top of a very tall scots pine snapped off right in front of us - landed about 10 yards from and about 5 from my dog. Must have weighed about 1 ton. I was bricking it!!!

I now have to pack up some stuff for an overnight work conference piss up!!) and get down to Liverpool. Having seen the state of the motorways I am going carefully by bike and the back road way. Not looking forward to it!!

Heard on the radio that the boss of Birmingham Airport was killed by a falling tree hitting his car and that lorries have been blown clean over on the M1.
Round here there are wheelie bins in all the roads and those dumps for Christmas trees are causing havoc as the trees scatter across the road.
Slates were coming of the roof of some houses on the way back from taking Molly to school this morning and it seems to have got stronger since then.

We have had no electric nearly all day, it has just come back on

Anna flys into Heathrow tonite, looking at the arrivals schedule it will either be cancelled or massive delay. All good fun

Since beggining of November it has been driving rain or full on storms nearly every day, incredibly bad winter

As predicted...( I knew that met training would come in handy one day).. the wind is dying down here.

74mph was the biggest gust, with a constant 48mph, not bad. I presume you all know that you can get the latest met office observations from http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/...t_weather.html
