    Well that was interesting -

I didnt think a little 250 could do such a thing

Sitting on the ttr at the penultimate big junction on my commute home, bmw man decides to squeeze up the inside of me, forcing me to nudge into the turn right lane. Tis ok me thinks - I'll just nail it in front of him when the lights go. I know the sequence real well here as I do this junction 14 times a week at the very least. Facing me I note the guy in the turn right only lane is eyeing up bmw man and is aiming to beat a path across him up the main road - if he doesnt he's thinking the cars behind bmw man may turn left and thereby leave him sat in the yellow box losing the lights and blocking the on comming traffic when the lights change.
My dilema - if Ive read the scene right - to drop back and try and nudge into the traffic going straight ahead, or to nail it and beat the pair of them, knowing if it goes pear shaped all three of us are likely to meet abruptly in the middle.
I continue to scan the junction, readying myslef and looking out for any last minute pedestrians legging it, cyclists etc and then I clock the red/amberss about to go out and green on - and in that billionith of a second the decision is made - and I nail it - clearing the junction and both cars -----on one wheel !!!!!

At least I had the presence of mind to NOT grab the front brake or slap the throttle shut !
It was a very strange feeling indeed. The rest of the journey home remained totally uneventful, apart from the warm moist feeling treakling down my legs

3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

For such a "gentle" bike, there's masses of play potential in the TTR. They will also get air off mini-roundabouts and some speedbumps, and can wheelie off the power in first, no clutch needed! They will also go sideways really well in the mud, and whilst the susension feels soft, it never seems to get really upset, just sort of shaky.

You really need to bring it to the Billington track on 25th Feb!

Yeah but not as impressive as doing all that on a 1200 ADV or as scary
