    Back to Caponord Question

Being offer a good deal methinks - £250 + my 2002 Sprint ST (11500miles) for a 2004 Aprillia Caponord (21k miles) - so putting up a poll question.

I really do like the look of them, saw two today - and smitten. So up to you guys - heres the details:

    2004 EV1000 Caponord
    21k miles
    last dealer service 14k
Oil & filters by owner (no proof though)
    luggage
    new chain & spocks

I have not seen the bike and have to take the guys word for the condition etc. Exchange means a 400mile ride to meet the bike and see it for the first time.

Thanks to all advice before - esp sproggy, who had real problems, but did seem to like the bike.

I'd check Parkers (http://www.parkers.co.uk/motorbikes/used-prices/) bike prices to see what the market value of the two bikes should be. If that tallies it's just a matter of whether you like the Capo. If his bike should be worth less than yours, walk away unless you want a Capo so much you'd be willing to throw away the difference just to have it now. If your bike should be worth less, bite his hand off
flat out on utterly inappropriate tackle

Thanks Ice - parkers gives about £400.00 difference, but I also get the luggage.

Capo's are difficult to shift and loose money like an avalanche - but they are reckoned to be a superb ride - best of the affordable traillies on the road, and can do a bit of green lane stuff - nowhere near the AT, but much better on the road.

know I'll loose out when I come to change again - but at under 3 yr old, should be ok.

I really want to try one for a while, and will spend a few quid on preventative maintenance - new bearings, filters, oil, fork oil, and a spin on the dealers computer.

Nice one Dude, must say I rather like the Capo too...spent many months looking for one of their special "Rallye" versions, but they're like hens teeth!

Look forward to hearing your verdict and seeing some pics

    Excellent , Enjoy.

The touratech catalogue has some nice bits for it and they will maybe add some more this year.

    Have fun , take care.
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!
