    Any old school left?

In a moment of boredom I was thinking if there is any proper bikers left, yes I was sat on the motorway in the dark and the cold and my mind wanders.

Is there anybody here that doesnt have access to a car when the weather goes ****ty. I have my two bikes so if it is too bad to ride, I just stay home. No works van to jump in, cant nab the misses car, cos dont have misses. Bikes and only bikes for me.

Anyone else in the same position?

    Same position here.
Learnt to rise 14 years ago and never quite got round to learning to drive. Tried it but got frustrated when I couldn't squeeze my cage through the same gaps as my bike gets through!

Have got decent wet weather gear so when the weather goes a bit poo just have to get on with it.

Good to hear I aint the only nutter in the village Mum told me that motorbikes were dangerous and I should have four wheels, buying another motorbike didnt seem to help the situation.

Yep, agreed on the wet weather gear, although there are times when I rather cry off something than risk some of the freaky weather we have. El nino, or global cooling or some such reason, i dunno

Well, I do have a car, but I've never once since I've been riding bikes used it because of bad weather.

I ride to work day in day out whatever the weather's doing. Same as you guys I have decent Wets so stay nice and warm and dry whatevers going on.

Agree with you though LV, lying snow's the only conditions that makes me think twice about taking the bike....as much 'cos it's great fun handbrake turning in a car as anything else! The Bike always prevails though. [/i]

Snow is the one for me, when I thinnk twice, check my will and if possible go back to bed. Thankfully being a southern softie living on the south coast, snow is as rare as rocking horse ****, dont see it down here.

I do have access to a car but never ever use it. We only keep it because of Mini Mabel and there are some weathers that children should not be out on a bike.

Can't remeber the last time I drove

I am truly impressed and yet intrigued, still dont see many bikes out and about. Maybe the only ppl that ride are those on hondas cos so much more reliable

Yeah, and who mentioned reliability. My @ wouldnt start after 4 weeks of not being touched, damm it, jump start and a good blast soon solved that problem tho

Roll on the weekend, more play time, ooops every day is play time, I dont want to go back to work ever

I ride every day come rain or shine well except some weekends. My bike is my main commute and averaging about 450 miles a week at the moment just to work and back. Sometimes I do wish I could be in that warm cosy car that just passed me on the motorway but then again when they are stuck I don't
