    Little bit worried now

had a phone call from Mr Mabel at 11 this morning to tell me he was stuck on the a48 coming out of camarthen.

he is still there, he is now wet from trying to dig his van out, there are cars stuck everywhere and he has no money or food. I know he is a big and very resourceful lad but I still worry

Theres a travel lodge (or something similar) on the St Clears roundabout on that road, if he can get there, you could pay for it over the phone with a credit card.

Sounds like role reversal from my house. My wife often goes out with no money or cards etc. If Mr Mabel is anything like my wife, his phone will run out of battery next call to you too, so you'll have no idea what is going on and when he's coming home.
    Hope it all ends well.

Who asked you to stick your oar in?

Plan B was to go and fetch him in the MR Land Rover, however last report he's following a large MAN FWD rig down the A40 at a cool 10mph and was nearly in St. Clears

Chad although you have never met Mr mabel you seem to have summed him up in this post.

He always did say Ray Mears fat Boy Scout

I have no doubt that if really stuck Mr Mabel would not have gone hungry tonight, and the local wildlife would have cause to be really really scared
