    School Trip

My baby (she's 10) has gone on her first school trip away today. They are going to london for 3 days. Seeing St Pauls, science and natural history museums and going to see the Lion King and Sound of Music in the evenings.

She is going to have a ball, I am a nervous wreck she was a little tearful getting ontot the bus but as soon as she was settled was bouncing like mad, they are not allowed to phone tonight and only if there is a big problem tommorrow can they phone so I won't here or see her until Friday now.

What an earth am I going to do? I'm off to wash twinkletoes to cheer myself up

She will be fine when she was 16 my daughter did 3 weeks around the czech republic and slovakia and is still here terrifying me , she also did 3 years in london at university and came back resonably unscathed not physically though, now she is doing officer training for the merchant navy at warsash (southampton) and is here waiting to go to aberdeen to a oil rig supply boat/ tug, polish twinkletoes but do not polish the paint off, if you run out of bikes to polish there are 5 here you can come down and do

My son just went skiiing with school (age 11). He was away for seven days and didn't phone or post a card. He was having too much fun.
I'll be in The St Paul's area at lunctime if you want me to look out for her.

i can just hear it now,

"Strainge looking middle aged man is seen following a group of 10 year old pupils on a school trip around London while on his motorbike. Man didn't remove his helmet so no clear id has been made!"

Mabel you sound like Mrs Squirrel when our Eldest went away for an adventure weekend with his school. Strangely enough I was a little less concerned with him and more about what I could do with one less munchkin to amuse She worried about this and fretted about that. In the end the only problem was shutting him up when he got home He had the biggest laugh and the most fun of his life. Oh and getting him up for school on the monday. He was shattered

Mini Mabel will be fine, or is it the fact she will be without you the worry??
