serious Serious SERIOUS temptation (in orange)

It's big and orange and goes like sh*t off a stick... but it's pig ugly so it's not a KTM. Since they don't make orange Varaderos, it's got to be a Tiger 955i!

It's like the ******* offspring of my Speed Triple and Africa Twin. It's not a trail bike at all, it's a road bike with wide bars and long travel suspension. But it just works so staggeringly well. And it even has a centre stand, heated grips and luggage without you having to pay extra.

It's already priced below book (it's not pristine, but then buying a pristine bike and using in Scotland all winter would be insane!) and they've offered my 2500 against my bike.

My Africa Twin is a 2001 with 20k on the clock; it's in good working order but it's been used year round; it would probably be worth 2800 in a private sale, but it has two shot tyres and a bust steering lock. So it's realistically worth 2500 to me now. That makes the trade it look OK - it's not as good as it looks because obviously if I sold my bike and ended up with 2500 quid (net) I'd then be able to ahggle for a cash discount, but then the convenience of trading in comes at a cost.

It would be a huge wrench to see the AT go (and my gorgeous 1995 Speed Triple) but I can't keep running two bikes, and the AT is too much of a trailie to be my only bike, and the Speed Triple is too much of a sports bike to be my only bike, so the Tiger makes so much sense...

I'm so close to giving in to the temptation...
flat out on utterly inappropriate tackle

I was in MCS in Renfrew last week and they have Brand Spanker Tiger 955's , with heated grips and panniers for £5995. Got to be a bargain at that price. The 955 Tiger looks much better than the new one. But too tall for my short erse !!!!
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

DK Motorcycles in the Newcastle nearer to me than you ? always have a couple in, and I've been sorely tempted in the past, but they have so many nice bikes in there I try to avoid going in now, visit at your peril (or your bank manager's peril anyhow).
