Off they go on the Long Way Down

    According to MCN

Ewan and Charley are going to leave any day soon on their trip through Africa, so get out on the motorways boys n girls, first one to get their face in a photo with them wins!

Oh and of course, good luck to them both on their epic journey, I wish I was with them

Asking that makes an explanation somewhat of a wasted effort.

Obviously you don`t see them as a pair of hitherto unknown spoilt brats, freeloading and blagging their way down the media trail, showing scant regard or respect for their gains, and spitting their dummies when they don`t get something on demand.
You`ll probably have thought every minute of the Long Way Round was great and enjoyed the book, too.

As I said...good fecking riddance to them...don`t hurry back.

I vote we ban all further threads about Ewan and Charley as it always starts fights with the children

Must say I'm no great fan either, though I did read the book After reading 'Jupiters travels' and 'One man caravan' this pair seem like a right couple of softies. Support crew??? PAH!!!
And I blame them for the number of yuppie commuters on GS's

(that one will go down well I'm sure )

Yep, I have to agree about the way they travelled with a support crew and the fact they were famous already didnt hurt when it came time to be sponsered plenty. Can understand you blokes giving them plenty of stick for their priviledges etc...

On the other hand, I watched and took from it what I found interesting, and enjoyed those aspects, like the difficulties when they were river crossing, and some of the broken up roads and scenery. Of course the fact that they could record what they did/saw, motorbike trip up's and downs that most of us have encountered or would like to, made some of us watch.

Still they are a bit soft and can have what they want, but they arent bad blokes and I'll probly watch the next trip. Envy will have me glued to it probly.

What are they riding this time?

    Cheers

Softies, eh? And precisely how many times have YOU ridden around the world? (Support crew or no support crew.)

think i have made my view fairly clear on these two in past and I am not going to help promote them and the circus they attract. this is the last and only post on this subject from me.

Your just jealous Tarka. Come on...if you had the chance to do what they did or do for a living you would jump at it. It was good viewing.
I do have more respect for say the Mondo Enduro crew (great viewing if you have not seen it) coz they had much less but if someone offered you a satphone for emergencies in the Sahara would you take it??
Where ever you go...there you are...
