    Virtual panniers

Ok team, we are leaving on an overland trip. it's going to be some where remote but we might pass through a few towns, villages and maybe a city or two. On the bike we have two 43liter panniers and a Medium Ortileb waterproof bag to go on the back.

You are to suggest only one item that will fit in a pannier or in the bag. We need to get everything in to survive, but hurry 'cause were leaving soon. Be sure you don't take it twice, the suspension is a bit soft and space at a premium.

So what item would you pack?

    I'll start it then.......

    Canon eos 20D Camera

Flip-flops or whatever you call them, my part af the world they're called "sleffers".

It will be good to take your boots off when you get the chance.

    umm errr hummmm......

sensible answer: laptop (and phone)!... spot the workaholic.

not so sensible answer: lots of fresh crumbly Lancashire cheese and a bottle of red,, cant beat a nice cheese sarny and a glass after a hard days graft.

cant do just one thing... not my style,

A sensible traveller always knows where the bog paper is...

Oh - and don't forget your passport. But that doesn't count as luggage does it?
