I have to be honest it sounds like he got what he deserved I have very little sympathy, he repeatedly travelled at excessive speeds because he thought he was untouchable I don't particulary like Scameras but arrogance like this does motorcycling no favours in the eyes of the general public

Thing is, thats "my" bypass, and the cameras are at junctions where all sorts have to cross what is often dual carridgeway speed stuff, including my daughter on her push/pedal bike going to/from grandma's. Not that I like/want cameras, but now and again there is just cause for them to slow down the traffic, and give people the chance to respond to what they see.

There is a ish 1 1/2 mile stretch with no junctions/cameras where it is mathematically possible to reach top speed on any motor vehicle worth its salt!

Yep, know it well... 60 limit for most of the way apart from the 50 limit which covers the two main junctions. It's a very wide 2 lane road (on the 60 bits) which cars/bikes and especially vans come thundering up the white line as if it's an express lane. The 50 sections are width restricted.

Oh...and the MacDonalds at the top end make nice big-macs

I actually often drive an artic out of a yard just of this junction, and getting out of the junction safely even with a 50 restriction is a nightmare! (several times had cars end up nearly in the back even at 6am!).. the section further down is lethal as its regarded a chicken run down the middle by idiots in BOTH directions... problem is idiots like this guy ( and endless reps and 'white van men') don't give a crap about the speed limit or cameras so its to a large extent is useless.

A Friend of mine was responsible for putting the film cartridges in the old style gatso's on the A1... he told me that they gave up putting film in them as by the time he had got back to his office just 8 miles away in Bedford the film was normally all gone and he would end up having to go back.

Well it's more a case of I love the special sauce and pickles, and Timber loves the meat and the cheese, That Mac D's seems to put on a lot of sauce and pickle.

Weird thing is that I've had Burgers all over the world and the best one was actually from a Wimpy in CapeTown. They do a meat free opton where the meat is replaced by a flame grilled field mushroom, Absolutely superb even though I'm not a veggie.
