    Oi - speccy four-eyes

having less than 20/20 vision and wearing glasses all the time (even at night, or my dreams are just a blur ) so fellow four eyes's I'd appreciate some advice...
I bought a pair of L-Frame Oakleys 'cos they go over glasses but find that they press on by dose, probably because the frame's that much bigger than usual.

So my question is, can you wear non-over-the-glasses goggles over your glasses ??

    Ta in advance

Just about but I don't like doing it. I usually wear contacts. Or you could have a look at getting some prescription goggles.

I was going to suggest that. A mate of mine is editor of The Optician so I'll ask him.

Got a pair of OTG Scott goggles...

(Dammit had to type it 4 times before it stopped coming out as googles)

They work, the regular model Scott just grabs at the frames a bit, but they do wear out pretty quickly if you use them daily...

I find the easier option is to buy glasses that are compatible with the various stuff I want to wear over them - goggles, helmets etc - rather than worry about fitting the rest of the world over my glasses.

And disposable contact lenses are very cheap these days too, which solves the sunglasses/glasses quandary.

Yup, knocking on for about 30 years I've had hard lenses or GP's, yes I have lost one while riding, but then I lost a lens out of a pair of glasses too got lenses cos I was fed up with buying new frames every 3-6 months with the sides getting bent putting them on in a helmet

    Tell me more, wise ones...

I had trouble a couple of years ago with contacts 'cos of me astigmatism. Thye had a blob in the bottom that was s'posed to keep them the right way up. but it didn't and I couldn't see much at all. Are they better now?

I wore contacts every day for hundreds of years untill my astigmatism became to severe to ignore. Getting old sucks

Thanks for the replys ladies and gentlemen!

    -Simon
