    Calling The Mountie,,,,

Sorry mate, I forgot all about that Givi mounting plate you asked about. I was tidying my shed yesterday and came across it!
I have a mounting plate for a Givi monokey topbox with the connection for the light on the box. I think it is Varadero specific but could be modified for any bike. The Mountie asked about it on the Sunday run and I said I'd look for it but completely forgot, sorry mate.
You've probably got one by now so If anyone's interested it's cheap to a good home as I'm clearing out stuff.
Retails at £37.34 + P&P online, close to half that would do me.

    Mr Africa,

Its Lowflyer in Inverness you should be seeking out I think, not the Mountie (he's got my old NonFango plate & rack on his bike).

The last Mountie I encountered gave me a speeding ticket.

Our Mountie's much to nice to do that.

Well, he is now. But see him before now . . . . . . . an evil, evil man

That said, he did get the job done.

Here Mr T, I seem to remember busting a gut for you after your run in with an evil, evil man. It was good to get him though, eh?

Like I said, you did get the job done, and in the case in question, well done.

If I never said thanks for that one before, I will now - THANKS.

PS - you missed a great run today - 31 for lunch @ Ullapool - but I did manage to lose a few on the return run via Lairg. I ended up with me plus 5 going over the Struie - the others went along the A9 through Tain. Apparently, according to a GS1200 rider, TA's aren't supposed to be ridden like wot I ride mine - best he learns to keep up round bends then .

Best I get sorting another Highland Fling - south then west then north then east then south sort of direction sounds good - could be a bit long though (more than the 313 miles of the last one).

    TTFN,

    Steve T

31????? That sounds more like a road hazard than fun to me!

    Would have been interesting though!

Aye, another run might be good, if I can get the time off I'd be up for that.

Steve T, a quick question, you don't know of an @T or a TA for restoration do you? I'm looking for a winter hack to do up over the Summer. I know of an TA down about Hatton somewhere but I'm struggling to get a hold of the guy. I might put a new post up to see if there's anything on the go but I'd rather something not too far from home!

Just wondered if you knew of anything?

Thanks for the 'THANKS' you know you are more than welcome, in fact it was a pleasure. Not for you of course, but me, I enjoyed it!

As for the next trip, bring it on, the sooner the better.
