Does anyone feel the same???

It has recently become increasingly apparent that since being a regular on xrv, that I have met quite a few others from the forum and have since become good friends with quite a few, not just a meet once a year, but with people with whom you can share a beer and have a right good chat, a good laugh and to talk about life, people that I class as a good mate and a good friend in the true sense of the word, rather than an 'acquaintance' through bikes or the forum. Even if I have only met someone a couple of times, a bed for the night is no problem.
Opinions or advice is willingly asked or given, I just want to say that this is such a friendly place

Am I the only one?

Phil

Re: Does anyone feel the same???

I'm in a slightly different position to most on the forum, as I live very far away.
However, I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments and the "warm fuzzy feeling" this website and it's occupants bring. Whenever I'm in town near a computer, in whatever country I may be, after checking my email, this is always the first site I visit. The entertainment value, not to mention the valuable info it gives, make it number one for me on the web, not just because I have a "Tropical Twin", either.
The only sad thing I feel though, is that I may never get to meet you all.

Re: Does anyone feel the same???

Yeps, I feel the same. Although I have a full and interesting life away from the XRV sight,I have found that every single person that I have met in the flesh through the sight has been totally worthy of the label "A Good Type".
It's great that people are here from all walks of life and are able to hook up having a common link.Namely XRV !
Me,I'm twice divorced, the wrong side of fifty and I suppose a bit of an oddball. Most of my good friends are in the music biz' and close as we all are, only a couple are true bikers. So I have found that for a complete bike freek like me,many of the peeps here are a pleasure to know.

What does suprise me is that regular family people, can find the time to spend on the sight. It's only since I've been single and without a business to run that I have really had the time to involve (indulge?) myself .

Stella next week and as with most (short) bike trips.I usually take off on my Jack ! in a not particularly excited fashion. There has been so much enthusiasm on the site though, that it has rubbed off and I'm now well excited to hooking up with others along the way.

As I run other bikes I have checked out their related sights too. That's how I realised the XRV site is *ALL THAT AND MORE *

I think it must be DaveS to blame for all this and I look forward to meeting him one of these days. ..........Soho has spoke.....

Re: Does anyone feel the same???

Ahh a warm fuzzy thread, yep I quite agree Phil, I know I feel much happier today knowing that all I have to do if there are any problems is phone one of the numerous numbers I have been sent or get a message posted here and help would be at hand

Hell no! We all had a good laugh and a brilliant time at the Working Bee, and before that I went to Salisbury Plain which was also excellent.

I think the good thing about AT's is no-one has anything to prove. It's not that sort of bike. What you see is what you get - A basic capable motorbike.

Re: Does anyone feel the same???

Love this site and all the people who use it Not as frequent a poster as I was when my back was really bad, but still the first site I log onto when I get home. Those I've met in the flesh (you know who you are ) have proved to be the nicest, genuine people you could ever hope to meet and it felt like a visit from old friend's (which must say a lot for the site).
I feel a group hug coming on Cum on, squeeze those monitors

Re: Does anyone feel the same???

As the old advert used to say "you meet the nicest people on a Honda" even if most of them have got GSes now !!!.

It's good here - no more to say !!!
