    WHat you doing this weekend

I am going to be spending the weekend with PW Cymru one of th UKGSERs and a few of the Mountain rescue lads, with very little kit, no food (unless the search before we leave misses any hidden snacks) and just a few handwritten directions.

We will be out all weekend building shelters, trying to light fires and doing the Ray Mears hunter gatherer thing (only with much less success I would imagine) following the directions that we find (left by our mental team leader and his happy band of helpers)

We will be walking about 25 miles and at the same time as trying to survive will be trying to escape and evade opposing teams who have the same final objective as us. Oh and praying it doesnt rain and trying not to be spotted by the organisier cause that deducts points too.

SO far I have taped bags of nuts and berries into the lining of my waterproof, I have gone from a B cup to a DD cup let the buggers try to serach there and my knee splint looks like it has trippled in size with chocolate bars stuffed down the sides.

The best place to hide things is in your knickers, a lot of blokes can cope with a sneaky grope up top to see if you're hiding anything there, but the nether regions are a whole different ball game!

A £20 note wrapped in something rubbery will be hard to find and will bring welcome relief in a village shop if the weather is poor.

Mind you, you'll be fine for the weekend without food, just drink LOTS of water, oh, and don't drink from cattle troughs, I know from experience that there are a lot of bad bugs in them.

But to answer your question, I'll be faffing around getting the bike ready for Thursday's run up to the Lakes, and trying my damnedest to control the excitement that's brewing over next weekend!!!!

Its my sons 2nd birthday on Sunday (cant believe how quickly the time is going by ).

Were having a doo for him and his little friends on Saturday at one of those indoor adventure places where they can throw themselves around without breaking anything (i hope).

Then on Sunday its a family get together and lots of presents for him.

So will be quite a hectic/noisey weekend (sadly little or no time on the bike - but i'll make up for that going to the National )

Re: WHat you doing this weekend

My firm is taking our team to Hamilton Races this afternoon , then a bite to eat and a swaleeeee in Glasgow later.

Saturday ... I must, must, must, clean out the gutters and then try to get some painting done outside .... if it stays dry. And setting the default parameters on the new Meta alarm just fitted yesterday.

Sunday... dunno yet but maybe doing what I meant to do on Saturday, but couldn't because of hangover/weather.

Monday ....is a local holiday up here , but the missus is working so it's play time for me... a run up the west coast sounds nice .... Oban / Glen Coe area maybe........ the KTM has had it's first service .... so lets see what it does now !!!!!
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

Jenna and I have already been for our walk in the hills, before 8am all three of us (the third is Timber the doggy) we're geocaching.

Popped in Sainsburys on the way back and grabbed some croisants that we warmed up and washed down with a coffee.
