I doubt it! I found it incredibly hard to find any new stuff with AV in. Just not an option these days it seems. I don't think any of the new panasonic HD and SS have it from when I looked. Don't quote me on that but I grew tired very quickly doing the rounds in numerous 'specialist' shops not just main stream trying to get any definitive answers from people who supposedly knew what they were about (muppets!)

There are mountains of good second hand kit if it is going to see any bike action. Remember it can only take one spill or knock off the tank showing your mates in the car park to send you home crying and cradling componenet parts of a new ash tray!!

Look on here and just do some cut n paste into reviews and ebay!

oh nearly forgot! sticking the camcorder in a bum bag removes head skip completely and it seems having a bullet cam on ya heeeeed does a remarkably good job of damping vibes. Figures I s'pose other wise you would see in wobble vison all the time!!

I actually had my camera fixed on a ram suction cup on top of my tank so I could periodically check the LCD to see what I was recording with the bullet cam on the front of the bike. Worked well but bullet cams are definately a better picture on your person. Bottom line, big squidgy sacks of soggy stuff damp vibes the best!

Completely with you Kymmy and it's defo the way I'd be looking to go if I was in the market for a camera now. Totally off topic (well a bit off topic anyways) - I'm expecting the next big thing in hi fi to be solid state

I don't understand the arguement of cost against using removable cards, you buy an older model compact flash camera off eBay and then get some cheap, high storage cards, see http://www.mx2.co.uk/prodpage.asp?ty...%20flash%204gb a 4gb card at £30 sounds cheap enough to me, Sandisk are a leader in this field, but the Integral ones are practically as good, been using these for years in my stills camera, buy a USB adaptor and just plug the card straight into your pc, it just sees it as another hard drive.

Easy Peasy, no moving parts, no vibration damage, cheap as chips and on you pc before you can say "Dilbert is a moron"

I have a built in multi card reader which takes up a 5.25 bay. Means I can read my Nokia's Micro SD, sanyo's SD, HP CF amongst other cards..Just plugs into one of the motherboard internal USB ports.

    Re: Video camera recommendation please

Just to update on this, I called Panasonic and they basically stopped putting AV in on all their machines three or four years ago. No new machines will take a helmet camera, which means a separate recorder for that if you want one.
This a bugger for me as I have to buy a video camera for work and one that did it all would have been perfect.
This looks the dog's danglies though

    Not sure funds will stretch.
